Washability and durability of DTF transfers

The longevity and quality of a DTF transfer largely depends on the care given to the textile after application. To ensure your print stays intact and maintains its vibrancy, here are some essential washing recommendations:

Wash temperature : It is crucial not to exceed a temperature of 40°C when washing. High temperatures can affect the adhesion of the ink to the textile, which could cause the transfer to peel or fade.

Wash inside out : To protect the transfer from direct abrasion with other clothing or items in the washing machine, always turn the textile inside out before washing.

Avoid harsh detergents : Some detergents contain bleaching agents or chemicals that may affect the color and quality of the transfer. Opt for mild detergents and avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.

Drying : Avoid drying the fabric in a tumble dryer at high heat. Open air is the best drying method for textiles with DTF transfers. If you must use a dryer, opt for a low heat setting.

Ironing : If you must iron the textile, avoid ironing directly on the transfer. Use a sheet of parchment paper or a thin fabric as an intermediate, and iron at low temperature.

Storage : DTF transfers can be kept for several months provided they are stored in a place protected from humidity and temperature changes.
